First borns, Pig-Pen, and a Kansai Japan Series

November 1, 2021

Watched The Father with my wife. As the discharge from eyes poured out of me, my icicle wife had nothing. No sniffle. Nothing.

Often these actions, or lack thereof, warrant some analyzation. Was it female related? Nationality based?

More often than not I find it’s the result of being the first born, and this occasion was one of those, based on my small sample of talking to my eldest sister.

I ran this by her and she agreed it was the first born trait. No time for tears. Had to be tough. Stuff had to get done. As the youngest of four, I couldn’t relate. My whole childhood was based on tears and laughs.

Japan’s vaccination rate is now at 79%. Positive cases in tests are down to 1%. Tokyo numbers have been under 50/day for past 10 days.

I can’t understand how US still has 100,000 cases/day and 1,500-2,000 deaths each day. They had the vaccination first, three or four months before Japan.

If I were to make an analogy it would be from Peanuts with Japan being Linus and US represented by Pig-Pen.

Linus will always be reliable to do what’s best for the common good. Sacrificing for his group in an inconspicuous way.

With Pig-Pen you get a person staying true to his nature regardless of the surroundings. Honestly, I can’t believe the SOB has the gall to go to dances and people’s homes like that showing remarkable disrespect to others. I guess because cleaning up would be admitting something wrong on his part. He’s definitely committed to his bit.

I just wonder when the others will get tired of his shit and kick his ass to the curb.

Japan Pro Baseball-

Let’s see those tickets that had Softbank missing the playoffs and Chiba Lotte and Orix fighting for the top.

Softbank missing the playoffs is worse than a Michael Jordan in his prime missing the playoffs. They have the largest payroll. They have, or had, best organization top to bottom. I wonder with them indulging themselves in free agency has affected their player development, otherwise known as Yomiuri Giants disease.

Fingers crossed for a Hanshin/Orix Japan Series
